One of the most diverse musical genres must be metal. From Christian metalcore to melodic thrash the genre has birthed a wave of experimental and bizarre subcultures and genres, however one of the strangest of these genres being ‘Gumpcore Deathgroove Shrimpslam.’
An offshoot of Slam metal, The Forrest Gump Mile High marathon are truly one of a kind, consisting of Bobby on the bass, Indiana Jonas, and Forrest on the guitar and last but not least John on the drums and” Little Chocolate” on vocals. Taking inspiration from the 1994 film ‘Forrest Gump’, they mix the humour of the classic with disgustingly brutal lyrics that would make your mother faint.
In 2010 TFGMHM released their self-titled album which is 20 minutes’ worth of pure brutality and nastiness with the occasional joke or film reference. With songs titles such as ‘Stupid Is As Stupid Does’ and ‘Lt Dan… Ice Cream,’ they create the perfect juxtaposition of a light-hearted film and the downright disturbing.
