Mitski is longing, Mitski is begging, she is screaming for someone to come and be hers, no matter how long they stay by her side. No matter how much it hurts her in the end.

Anthemic yet so polite in its anger, ‘Nobody’ is the epitome of becoming delusional own your own loneliness. Starting out as structured with a clear grasp of what is real and what is not. But it slowly starts to break down becoming repetitive and lost in its internal monologue, ending up as a broken record.

The duality is where this track succeeds. It puts on a lighthearted rhythm that’s danceable while the lyrics tell a story of emptiness and disappointment.

In its misery, you can’t help but feel so connected because it is just that relatable. 

 It’s just you and Mitski against the world.
