Happy Lunar New Year!
Even though the western New Year period has ended, we are given a second chance to start the year anew with the arrival of Lunar New Year on February 17th.

2026 is the year of the fire horse, according to Chinese astrology the horse is confident, agreeable and responsible- though they do not like to be reined in by others. Being born in 2002 I always seemed to think that I was born under the horse although now I have found that as a January baby it was actually still the year of the snake. Shocking! My horse shaped trinkets now hold little relevance to my year of birth and all the horoscopes I had previously read were no longer applicable. Perhaps that’s why they never seemed to make sense.
I try not to be too superstitious about things and I don’t want to get my hopes up but according to Chinese astrology, it’s looking pretty great for me this year. I’m going to shine! With luck in love, career breakthroughs and financial gain, I can’t help but feel slightly optimistic. Especially after looking back in my diary and reading my horoscope from the previous year which seemed to pan out correctly.
While I’m going a bit rogue this week, what I want to say is that I hope this new year treats you well. That you are filled with fiery passion and that with persistence you will have many breakthroughs and success in whatever you put your mind to.
新年快乐!
